If feasible to play, leave in original key. Otherwise, or if sung in different key, leave a note.
Optimise for concise output. Use repeats, voltas, and segnos.
Always mark length of the first note in bar. Omit for following notes if same.
Always use numerical tempo.
Leave as much formatting as possible to the engraver.
Leave as much dynamics, articulation, and ornaments as possible to the performer.
Use semantic \fine for end of piece. Do not use \bar "|."
